Our continued commitment is to learn more
about the expression of our chosen art. At each Guild meeting, there is a
program in which all are encouraged but not required to participate. If you
have an idea for a program, please let us know. For 2017, we will continue to
sharpen our knitting skills and our theme is "Challenge".
We are also committed to
a charity project each year. In past years, we have knit hats, booties, scarves and blankets. We have knit scarves for the Spirit of Women and presented them at
Christmas along with a bag of toiletries. We have knit hats and scarves for the
Monthly meetings are
held on the first Saturday of every month from 9:00 AM to Noon.
We are currently meeting at University Presbyterian Church, 1776
E. Roberts, Fresno, on the corner of Roberts & Cedar between Bullard &
knitters are welcome, regardless of skill level. Just show up and join the
fun. Our members receive monthly newsletters, member's directory, early
notification of special events, preferred pricing on workshops and retreats,
plus website access. Our dues are $30.00 per calendar year.
Each year the Guild
hosts a Retreat to foster closer ties as well as to improve certain knitting
skills. For 2017 we will be traveling to the retreat center in Three Rivers
again for our fall retreat - October 13 - 15. We also have field trips to
various knitting shops in California. If you have a favorite place you like to
visit or a shop to share with the guild, please let us know.
